Botox in Medellín
Botulinum toxin — what most people call Botox — is one of the most widely used treatments for softening wrinkles and expression lines. It temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that create those lines, so the skin smooths out without your face losing its expression.
Beyond the cosmetic side, botulinum toxin is also used medically for conditions such as teeth grinding (bruxism), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and certain neuromuscular disorders. The procedure is quick, well tolerated, and the results start showing within a few days.
Benefits of Botulinum Toxin
Fewer wrinkles and expression lines
It softens the dynamic wrinkles that come from facial movement — frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet — for a more rested look.
It keeps lines from setting in
By relaxing the muscles that fold the skin, it stops those lines from deepening over the years. That is why many patients start before the wrinkles become permanent.
Natural results, expression intact
Done properly, you keep your facial expression. Nothing about the result should look frozen or obviously treated — that comes down to dosage and placement.
Medical uses beyond aesthetics
It is also used to treat excessive sweating, teeth grinding, chronic migraine and certain neuromuscular disorders.
Where Botulinum Toxin Is Applied
- Forehead
- Frown lines (between the brows)
- Crow's feet
- Jawline and teeth grinding
- Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
When the injections are placed by a trained physician, the result looks natural and balanced — a fresher, better-rested face rather than a changed one. Because it is minimally invasive, you can go back to your day straight after the appointment.

At Be Dharma we treat with botulinum toxin with one rule: your face still has to look like your face. The goal is not to freeze muscles but to soften expression lines, keep wrinkles from setting in, and leave you looking rested.
We work with advanced technique and personalized microdosing, mapped to each patient’s muscle anatomy and how their face actually moves — which is what produces a subtle, even result that lasts.

Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions About Botulinum Toxin
How long does botulinum toxin last?
Results usually last 4 to 6 months, depending on the area treated and your own metabolism. With regular treatment, that window tends to get longer.
Do the injections hurt?
The procedure is well tolerated and the needles used are very fine. If you are sensitive, a topical numbing cream can be applied first.
How soon will I see results?
You start noticing the effect 3 to 7 days after treatment, with the full result at around 15 days.
What are the aftercare instructions?
- Do not rub or massage the treated area for the first 24 hours.
- Do not lie down or do intense exercise for the first 4 hours.
- Avoid extreme heat — saunas, hot baths — for the first 48 hours.
Will it leave my face expressionless?
Not when it is placed by a trained physician. Properly dosed botulinum toxin keeps your face expressive — the frozen look comes from too much product in the wrong places.
Who should not have botulinum toxin?
It is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a neuromuscular disease or a known allergy to any of its components.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, and it often is. Combining it with dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid or HarmonyCa covers both the lines and the volume loss, which a single treatment cannot do on its own.
